Upon returning to LA after a summer abroad, a young Angeleno becomes increasingly disillusioned by the monotony of the world he left behind. A homecoming soiree forms the backdrop for explosive tests of love, loyalty, and truth.

Inspired by the aesthetic of La Piscine and the tone of Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, Where the Sun Burns’ satirical lens confronts the attitudes and morals of Los Angeles youth — unveiling the veneer of Hollywood’s utopic promise. Excavating the ethos of privilege, belonging, greed, and desire, the project aims to critique a world that parades as perfect and calls the City of Angels mythos into question.
